The bronze plate dedicated to the important naturalist Karl Friedrich Schimper was inaugurated on September 30, 2021 as the highlight of the Schimper Day of the Reiß- Engelhorn Museums in the presence of Prof. Dr. Wilfried Rosendahl, General Director of the Reiß- Engelhorn Museums. Prorector Prof Dr. Edgar Erdfelder conveyed the greetings of the university, City Councilor Markus Sprengler those of the city.
