Mayor Michael Grötsch is delighted that the Mile of Innovation now commemorates the "Mannheim Gene", which was decoded under the direction of Prof. Dr. Fokko van der Woude. At the ceremony on October 18, 2018 to inaugurate the plaque sponsored by Bouwfonds, we were able to welcome not only its Managing Director Franz-Josef Lickteig, but also the Riet family, Diane and Joanne van der Woude, who had traveled from the Netherlands.
